SmartPICO Tattoo Removal acts with a combination of nanoseconds and picosecond emissions is particularly successful in tattoo removal, allowing multiple-step actions based on the type of tattoo and cutaneous conditions. A first rough removal which helps the expulsion of the largest pigments (nanoseconds) and a finishing phase in which the pigment is broken down into tiny particles, which are easily removed through the phagocytosis process (picoseconds).
For Smart Rejuvenation SmartPICO pulses generate a pure photoacoustic effect which directly targets the cutaneous tissue at the right depth, simultaneously stimulating collagen and leaving the surrounding skin intact. By using less heat, SmartPico not only reduces the risk of PIH, but it can also be used to treat the effects of PIH caused by an inflammatory disorder or even other laser treatments.
