Inflammatory skin diseases occurring in proximity of the eyes are often the cause of inflammation of the eyelids.  Pulsed light (IPL) is an excellent treatment to reduce eyelid inflammation that is the cause of Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (Dry Eye Disease).  Pulsed Light (LUXEA’s LILAC handpiece) is selectively absorbed in the hemoglobin of abnormal blood vessels and destroys them by thrombosis. A major source of inflammation threatening the eyelids is then removed.
