GF1

Support for the skin after aesthetic treatments

  • GF1 is a Registered Medical Device (Class C)
Suitable for use on open wounds. High enough concentration to provide for chlorine demand (The loss of chlorine through interaction with organic matter).

The popularity of invasive skin treatments is growing rapidly but compromising the integrity of the skin also carries some risks. Popular treatments include laser, micro-needling or Dermapen and acid peels.

These treatments, whilst very effective in treating various skin concerns, can also lead to post-treatment infection, swelling and inflammation with a risk of Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH) for those with darker skin types. The correct use of GF1 drastically reduces these concerns.

Directions for use

The primary benefits of GF1 when used pre-treatment, or as an aftercare product to support the skin after manipulation are:

  • A strong non-cytotoxic antiseptic action against all pathogens without damaging the microbiome.
  • A rapid reduction in inflammation resulting in less redness & pain with minimal downtime.
  • 60 to 70% faster healing when using GF1 as directed.
  • Much lower risk of Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation in darker skin types.
  • Use whenever a skin manipulation treatment is done or when the stratum corneum is compromised. With a compromised SC there is:
    • A breach of the skin’s integrity.
    • Inflammation with a risk of PIH.
    • Redness, swelling and pain.
    • A wound that needs to heel.

Thoclor GF1 as an aftercare treatment can support the skin by preventing:

    • Infection
    • Scarring
    • Discolouration
    • Koebnerization (a form of psoriasis)
    • Dermatitis or inflammation
    • Prolonged erythema or redness of the skin
  • Makes darker skin types (IV-VI) eligible for skin manipulation).
  • Reduces downtime
  • Optimise results.

Thoclor GF1 is available in 50ml or 500ml bottles.

When to use HOCl.

  • With any invasive treatment: Chemical/Mechanical/Laser
  • Use to sanitise before treatment.
  • Can be used as a glide.
  • Post treatment every 30 minutes for the rest of the day.

Typically, clients report a massive reduction in redness the following day.

Spray GF1 onto clean skin before any skin treatment begins. This will make sure any pathogens on the face are eliminated before the treatment.

  • Wash face with liquid skin cleanser and gently pat dry with a clean towel.
  • Holding the bottle approximately 15cm from the face spritz GF1 onto the face, neck and around the eyes until the skin is moist. Any pathogens on the skin will be killed on contact – the treatment can now begin (skin does not have to dry).

Once the skin manipulation treatment is finished follow these guidelines to speed up the healing process, prevent infection and reduce inflammation:

  • Apply GF1 IMMEDIATELY after your treatment to a clean face (please wash any other lotions or product used during the treatment off first). A slight stinging or a feeling of tightness may occur for the first day of use.
  • Allow the skin to dry naturally (do not wipe off). We don’t recommend accelerating this drying with a hairdryer or fan as the molecule is active when the skin is damp, so allowing this to evaporate naturally means you get the optimal contact with the skin and the active ingredient has time to be absorbed completely.
  • Continue to re-apply the spray to the face or the area treated once every 30 minutes for the rest of the day of the treatment.
  • If the skin is still red the day after the treatment, keep applying GF1 once every hour to the affected area until the skin is no longer red.
  • At this point, the skin will have recovered and healed from the treatment.
  • Switch back to a regular routine of GF2 morning and evening.
  • GF1 should be used again before a next procedure or treatment in the same way.

Note: GF1 will not harm eyes and is safe if accidentally swallowed.
